Energy Manager

We currently have a number of immediate opportunities for Energy Managers, both permanent and project-based, to help sustain the growth of our metering and energy management business. In this role, you will provide energy management solutions for the commercial, industrial and institutional sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

The Energy Manager will be responsible for all aspects of conducting energy audits at commercial, industrial and institutional facilities, including meeting with clients to gather information about energy consuming systems (HVAC, lighting, process loads, etc.) and energy management systems, developing demand side management strategies, analyzing interval data, estimating demand response capacity and writing demand response audit reports.

The Energy Manager will also work with Rodan’s Business Development team to support the sale of demand response and other energy management solutions to clients. This position requires a broad knowledge of energy consuming systems within facilities, energy management systems and the field of distributed energy.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• University or college degree in engineering, or equivalent educations and other relevant work experience. P.Eng, CEM or CMVP designation is considered an asset.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in energy management or energy engineering environment;
• Technical and/or service-oriented background in facilities management, energy management systems, energy consulting, electrical contract management services or utility services;
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel;
• Demonstrated capability in technical/business writing;
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer relationship skills;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively complete tasks;
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving;
• Ability to work independently and in a team;
• Entrepreneurial, self-starting attitude;
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
