Support Technicians
(Full-time project positions, approximately 6 months in length)

Rodan Energy is a leading smart grid company delivering integrated energy solutions to electricity consumers, distributors and power producers. Combining our expertise in metering, energy management and demand response, we are enhancing power system reliability and price responsiveness in today’s green
energy sector.

Rodan has multiple project based opportunities for Support Technicians to join our Operations team. In these roles, you will be working on-site alongside Rodan’s Metering Technician, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner. The positions require some travel within the GTA and will be
based out of our Mississauga office.

These project based positions will commence within the next few weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Rodan and its clients, the Support Technician’s responsibilities include:

  • Working in a team of two, the Support Technician will travel to client sites with the lead Metering Technician, supporting the Metering Technician with client communications, safety and work documentation;
  • Enforcing safe work procedures are followed at all times; and
  • Ensuring Rodan meets compliance and reporting requirements of federal, provincial and local regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • College students enrolled in an electricity/electronics program or recent graduates;
  • Use of own vehicle;
  • Valid driver’s class ‘G” Ontario Driver’s License;
  • Valid driver’s insurance;
  • Provide a Driver’s Abstract;
  • Provide a Criminal Background Check and are Bondable;
  • Previous Health and Safety training is an asset, i.e. CPR, First Aid, Electrical Awareness;
  • Own Personal Protective Equipment is an asset, i.e. safety boots, hard hat;
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients;
  • MS Office skills – Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Ability to work as a member of a team; and
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively complete tasks.
